Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on acceptance of a Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance grant award in the amount of $300,000 for support of the Williamson County Veterans Service Office Emergency Financial Assistance program.
Public Background
The Texas Veterans Commission Grant funding supports the Williamson County Veteran Services Office by providing funding that allows our office to provide limited emergency assistance and financial relief to eligible Veterans, their Dependents, and Surviving Spouses who can demonstrate financial need. The grant period is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027. The grant will serve 180 Williamson County veterans community members that meet program criteria.
