Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on a policy regarding the timing of tenure increases for County Court at Law Judges and Associate Judges.

The current code allows the effective date for tenure increases to be the fiscal year after the County Court at Law Judge's anniversary date. When Human Resources presented the tenure chart for the Associate Judge's to the Commissioners Court for approval several years ago, this practice was mirrored. Due to two Judge's four-year tenure dates being in October 2026, a request was made to allow for the increase to be set up the same as District Court Judge's. This would allow the increase to be effective the pay period directly following their anniversary date. This item is to allow the Court to give direction on policy for the entire group of the County Court at Law Judges and Associate Judges tenure schedules moving forward.
