Aldis; and the Law Offices of Edmond Moreland for the representation and prosecution of a lawsuit arising under the laws of the State of Texas against various pharmaceutical companies and/or distributors that design, manufacture, promote, market, distribute, and/or sell prescription opioid drugs, and those acting in concert with them; exemption of these services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 262.024(a)(4); and authorize the presiding officer of the Williamson County Commissioners Court to execute all documents necessary for such engagement and representation.
This item was moved to Executive Session where no action was taken. After reconvening from Executive Session, the Court took action on this item.
