10:00 Conduct public hearing relating to a request from District Attorney Shawn Dick to increase the budgeted salary amount for the positions of DA Lead Victim Assistance Coordinator, position #1847; DA Felony Prosecutor I, position #1848 and DA Felony Prosecutor I, position #1848, in the District Attorney’s Office and discuss (1) the reason for the payment in excess of the budgeted amount is being offer to the employee, including the public purpose that will be served by making the excess payment; and (2) the exact amount of the excess payment, the sources of the payment, and the terms for distribution of the payment that effect and maintain the public purpose to be served by making the excess payment.
 
  1. The reason for the payment in excess of the budgeted amount is to provide for an increased hiring salary for well qualified applicants.
  2. The excess amount is $30,286.65 which will be paid through the normal bi-weekly payroll. The public purpose served by providing the increased salaries is the ability to reduce service delivery issues due to excess training required for less experienced employees.

Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a request by District Attorney Shawn Dick to increase the budgeted salary amount for the following positions:  DA Lead Victim Assistance Coordinator, position #1847 from the budgeted annual salary amount of $43,671.81 to the increased salary amount of $55,570; DA Felony Prosecutor I, position #1849 from the budgeted annual salary amount of $91,742.23 to the increased salary amount of $100,936.46; DA Felony Prosecutor I, position #1848 from the budgeted salary of $91,742.23 to the increased salary amount of $100,936.46 for the remainder of the current fiscal year.
These increases will be funded using excess salary funds in the current budget.
