Motion: To approve a settlement, in principal, to pay $87,000.00 to Dan A. Gattis to settle any and all claims Dan A. Gattis may have against Williamson County and the members of the Williamson County Commissioners Court in relation to the defense of criminal allegations brought by the Williamson County Sheriff and the Williamson County Attorney; and further find that paying such amount serves a public interest and that Dan A. Gattis committed the alleged act or omission that was the basis of the criminal allegations and that were ultimately dismissed while acting in good faith and within the scope of his official duties at that time as the Williamson County Judge; and further authorize the County Judge to sign a settlement and release agreement setting forth the settlement terms.
