Comments from Commissioners.
  • Judge Bill Gravell, Jr. said it is his intent to be fair and unbiased while on the dias, and reminded everyone that county employees and residents are to be treated with dignity and respect.  He will remove anyone from court that is not treating county employees and residents with honor and dignity.
  • Commissioner Russ Boles updated the court on potential litigation involving the Sheriff's Office and Sheriff's Chief Deputy Ken Evans with regard to a vote from last week (May 31, 2022) on agenda item 35.    
  • Judge Bill Gravell, Jr. informed members of the Court that he is concerned about the direction of what is transpiring in the Jail.  He is concerned about the safety of the inmates, employees and the public at large.
  • Commissioner Valerie Covey reminded everyone that the Court has increased the salaries of the Sheriff's Office and Jail employees tremendously.
