Comments from Commissioners.
 

Commissioner Precinct 3 Valerie Covey discussed the recycling of the cinder block building and former health district building on the site of the historic jail occurring this week, and emphasized that the historic building is not being torn down. She also reminded everyone that Commissioners Court will not be meeting on November 12, 2024.

County Judge Bill Gravell Jr. highlighted that today is election day, and thanked everyone for their hard work in conducting elections. He was most impressed that voter turnout was the highest in the state among the largest counties. He reminded those that have not voted that there are 82 locations available today, and wait times can be found on the county webpage. Commissioner Precinct 1 Terry Cook highlighted a recent article on elections, and expressed her appreciation of our election workers. Commissioner Precinct 4 Russ Boles expressed his pleasure that there are many polling places convenient to voters throughout the county.
