This Change Order compensates the Contractor for installing a cable barrier and riprap mow strip along the center median of US 79 where TxDOT eliminated it from their Contract due to ongoing construction in the median. This work was requested by TxDOT and will be paid for by TxDOT. Multiple items will be added by this Change Order. Please see attached Change Order. This Change Order results in a net increase of $248,517.11 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $85,572,675.80. The original Contract amount was $81,941,038.13.  As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $3,631,637.67 has been added to the Contract, resulting in an 4.43% net increase in the Contract cost.  No additional days will be added to or deducted from the Contract as a result of this Change Order.
