REGULAR AGENDA

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the appointment of the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector to serve until the next general election (Tex. Local Gov’t Code §87.041).
No action was taken on this item.
COMMISSIONERS COURT RECESSED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 4:44 P.M. ON TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2026.

Interview candidates for the Office of Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector and/or deliberate the appointment of the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector (Executive Session as per Gov. Code Section 551.074 – Personnel Matters: Deliberate the appointment and evaluation of public officer/department head).
No action was taken in Executive Session.
COMMISSIONERS COURT RECONVENED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 7:46 P.M. ON TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2026.

Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on the appointment of the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector to include setting forth an appointment process to be conducted in order to appoint an individual to serve as the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector, action and consideration on an appointment and taking any other action that may be necessary in relation to such appointment (Tex. Local Gov't Code §87,041).
No action was taken on this item.

County Judge Steven Snell thanked everyone for being a part of the process.
Commissioner Precinct 2 Cynthia Long thanked those who put their name in the hat.
Commissioner Precinct 3 Valerie Covey wished Larry Gaddes well in his next endeavor, and thanked everyone who expressed an interest in serving.
