Approve second amendment work authorization in the amount of $101,490 for a total amount not to exceed $236,238 under Agreement No. 20-104 with Consero Solutions to increase the level of consultant support to secure grants and further Yolo County's staff efforts to identify priorities related to climate action. (No general fund impact) (Yarris/Echiburu)

Recommended Action

Approve second amendment work authorization in the amount of $101,490, for a total amount not to exceed $236,238 under Agreement No. 20-104 with Consero Solution to increase the level of consultant support to secure grants and further Yolo County's staff efforts to identify priorities related to climate action.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

This second amendment to the work authorization is for the continued assistance with development and implementation of the updated Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, as well as implementation fo the Sustainability Plan, and assistance with other climate action planning efforts consistent with the October 13, 2020 Board resolution declaring a climate crisis in Yolo County.

Task Definition

Task 1: Support Yolo County staff advancing the work of the Commission;
Task 2 Develop the scope of work for the updated Climate Action and Adaptation Plan consultants and assist staff with the consultant selection process;
Task 3: Assist with development and implementation for early actions;
Task 4: Coordinate meetings, calls, and administrative responsibilities;
Task 5: Other duties as assigned.

Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)

The Department of Community Services, General Services, Department of Finance, and County Counsel. 

Competitive Bid Process

On-Call contracts were solicited and reviewed in compliance with the Department of Financial Services policies and procedures. Board approval of this work authorization is required because the total compensation will exceed $100,000.
