Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The equipment being added to the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Equipment List will allow HHSA to transport middle school age students to multiple high schools around the county, so they can participate in the Friday Night Live Mentoring Program. The program owned, operated, and maintained a 9 passenger van for several years until it was decommissioned in 2019. With the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic the use of a van hasn’t been needed but with schools opening up again, in-person interaction with youth will be a reality and transporting youth will be necessary again.

The funding from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) of 2021 will be used to purchase a 9 passenger van in order to transport youth for participation in the Friday Night Live Mentoring Program.
The Fiscal Year 2021-22 Equipment List will be amended as follows:
