Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The stairlift equipment being added to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Equipment List will provide a secondary accessibility option for individuals needing to come and/or go from the second floor of the Bauer Building who are unable to utilize the stairs. Currently, the building offers three stairwells and a single elevator. When the elevator is unavailable due to maintenance or repair needs there are no accessible options for individuals who cannot walk up and down the stairs. The stairlift equipment will serve as a backup option in such cases.
The Fiscal Year 2022-23 Equipment List will be amended as follows:
