Reason for Recommended Action/Background
On November 8, 2022, the Board waived the first reading and held the second reading of a proposed smoke-free multi-unit housing policy. This policy would prevent exposure to secondhand smoke of residents living in MUH dwellings by restricting the use of smoking products in these dwellings. At the November 8th meeting, the Board asked that Tobacco Prevention staff reach out to the condo owners in the El Macero and Esparto areas. This presentation will provide an update on these outreach efforts including the results of surveys that were conducted.
