Accept as complete the design, build and installation of a shade structure at the Tuli Mem Aquatics Center and Park Community Gathering Area, performed under Agreement PO4395 by JPB Designs, Inc. and authorize the Director of General Services to sign and record the Notice of Completion. (No general fund impact) (Pistochini)

Recommended Action

  1. Accept as complete the design, build and installation of a shade structure at the Tuli Mem Aquatics Center and Park Community Gathering Area performed under Agreement PO4395 by JPB Design, Inc.; and 
     
  2. Authorize the Director of General Services, or their designee, to sign and record the Notice of Completion.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

JPB Designs, Inc. completed the design, build and installation of a shade structure at the Tuli Mem Aquatics Center and Park Community Gathering Area on May 7, 2023, in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. The Board of Supervisors acceptance of the work, and authorization for the Director of General Services to record the Notice of Completion (Attachment A), will allow the project to be closed out, and final payment be made to the contractor. Additional background information on the project can be found in the last documents submitted to the Yolo County Board of Supervisors on September 13, 2022 (Attachment B).

The General Services Department collaborated with the County Administrator's Office, Department of Financial Services, and County Counsel's Office.
