Recommended Action

Approve three-year agreement through June 30, 2026 with the Yolo County Deputy Sheriff's Association.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The County reached a tentative agreement with the Yolo County Deputy Sheriff's Association and the resulting Memorandum of Understanding is included as Attachment A. This agreement, which would expire June 30, 2026, includes the implementation of the 100% of market compensation philosophy. This agreement also provides:
  • September 2023, September 2024, and September 2025 salary survey with a January look forward implemented in October 2023, October 2024, and October 2025, respectively
  • Adjustment of educational/POST incentives and increase in the maximum combined value of education/POST incentives to 15%
  • 2.5% differential for CNT and SWAT team members, effective January 1, 2024
  • Increase employee and employer contribution to the PORAC Retiree Medical Trust to $100 per month
