Reason for Recommended Action/Background
A Statewide Direct Primary Election has been called to be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 to fill the regularly scheduled federal, state, and county offices as provided by law. Under delegated authority from the Board of Supervisors (Board) pursuant to section 10400 of the California Elections Code, the Yolo County Registrar of Voters has accepted a request from a jurisdiction to consolidate their Special Municipal Election with the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election. This municipal jurisdiction has passed resolutions requesting election services for a local measure and has resolved to reimburse the County for related costs. Cities and districts have until Friday, March 6, 2026, 88 days prior to the election (E-88), to submit their request to the Registrar of Voters. Currently, there is one jurisdiction that will be consolidating with the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election:
