Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Communicare+OLE is a current tenant of the County-owned facility at 1038 Triangle Court, West Sacramento, commonly referred to as 500B Jefferson Boulevard. Communicare+OLE has leased this property since 2005 and the lease ends April 30, 2026. County staff and Communicare+OLE entered into negotiations to develop a new lease for this property. The negotiating parties have met several times since December 2025 and made significant progress and are close to finalizing a new lease. The County and Communicare+OLE are in active discussions centered on a few remaining items and need an additional one-month extension of the lease through May 31, 2026. This proposed one-month extension is the second requested extension of the lease, the prior extension covering the month of April 2026. County staff are requesting that the Board delegate authority to the County Administrator to approve a one-month extension of the existing lease to May 31, 2026. Staff will return to the Board with approval of a new lease after negotiations for a longer-term lease are finalized.
