Approve 2021-2022 department holiday closures.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Staff is recommending Board approval for select department closures during holiday periods when service demands are reduced. Employees who choose to be off work during the office closure must use available leave balances to cover their time off.
The following departments are requesting office closures:
Agriculture - December 28, 2021 through December 31, 2021
Assessor - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021
Clerk-Recorder - closed on scheduled holidays only and will close at noon on December 23, 2021
Elections - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021
Child Support - December 23, 2021
Community Services (except the Landfill) - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021
County Administrator (including Clerk of the Board and Human Resources) - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021
County Counsel - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021. Coverage of any court hearings will be arranged and pressing matters addressed.
Financial Services - December 24, 2021 through December 31, 2021
Health and Human Services Agency - No Closures
Library - All library branches to be closed on Friday, November 26, 2021, the day after Thanksgiving. All branches will close at 6:00 p.m. on December 24. All branches will be closed on December 25, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
District Attorney - No closures except for the regular holidays
Probation - No closures except for the regular holidays.
Public Defender - No closures except for the regular holidays.
General Services - No closures except for the regular holidays.
