Approve and authorize the Chair to sign third amendment to Agreement No. 18-75, otherwise known as State Agreement No. 17-10363, with the California Department of Public Health to increase funding by $2,826,660 for 2021-22. This will result in a new contract maximum amount of $3,284,373 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022 for the purpose of continuing immunization activities. Recommended Action
Approve and authorize the Chair to sign third amendment to Agreement No. 18-75, otherwise known as State Agreement No. 17-10363, with the California Department of Public Health (“CDPH”) to increase funding by $2,826,660 for fiscal year 2021-22. This will result in a new contract maximum amount of $3,284,373 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022 for the purpose of continuing immunization activities.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
On May 21, 2018 Yolo County entered into the Agreement to receive funds from CDPH for the Immunization Local Synopsis, for the purpose of assisting local health departments in preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases in the local health jurisdiction.
On June 10, 2021 the Agreement was amended to increase funding to augment and enhance efforts around influenza vaccination coverage as well as perform Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) vaccination planning and implementation.
Approval of this amendment will allow the Health and Human Services Agency to accept funding at the increased level for the provision of the additional immunization services for the community to help keep Yolo County residents safe and healthy.
