Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Healthy Davis Together (HDT) began as a joint project between UC Davis and the City of Davis to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and facilitate a coordinated and gradual return to regular city activities and student life. Over time and in partnership with Yolo County Public Health staff of the Health and Human Services Agency, HDT extended free COVID-19 testing to more locations across the county under its expanded identity as Healthy Yolo Together (HYT).
The HYT program ended operations on June 30, 2022. As a result, county HHSA staff have stepped up efforts during the transition to provide the community with additional support and resources to continue COVID-19 antigen testing.
