Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The General Services Department is requesting an amendment to the fiscal year 2022-2023 Authorized Equipment List to reflect an increase to the quantity and costs of two additional HVAC units needed for 100 West Court Street, Woodland.
In June 2022, the Board approved a request to amend the 2021-2022 authorized equipment list and additional funding for five HVAC units that were failing at 100 West Court Street, Woodland. At that time General Services believed the replacement of the five HVAC units would adequately address the HVAC concerns at this location. However, shortly after that approval two additional units failed and needed replacement. The action before the Board today is for approval to amend the increased dollar value of the HVAC units from $63,300 to $83,800 and to increase the number of new units from five to seven.
At this time General Services believes the department has the necessary funds to cover the increased costs; however, if additional units fail at other County locations, the department may need to return to the Board for additional funding.
