Support the resolution and delegate signing authority to Supervisor Provenza and Supervisor Saylor to execute the Hate Free Together Resolution on behalf of the Board of Supervisors. (No general fund impact) (Pinedo)
Recommended Action
Approve and delegate signing authority to Supervisor Provenza and Supervisor Saylor to sign the Hate Free Together Resolution on behalf of the entire Board of Supervisors. This resolution is between Yolo County, UC Davis, and the City of Davis. This directly impacts Supervisor Provenza's and Supervisor Saylor's supervisorial districts.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The County has formed a partnership with UC Davis and the City of Davis to speak out against, as well as combat, acts of hate in the City of Davis. This partnership helps communicate and educate the City of Davis public on what it means to be a hate-free community. The result of this signed resolution will be a catalyst of efforts from all three entities (UC Davis, Yolo County, and the City of Davis) in an ongoing plan of education, community building, and training in order to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion centered around a hate-free campaign.
