Fiscal Impact

The Adopted Budget was approved at the September 27, 2022 Board meeting and appropriates funding for the FY22-23 fiscal year.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

See Attachment A for changes to the Authorized Position and Salary Resolution.

From time to time, staff recommends Board approval of accelerated leave accruals and starting leave balances upon hire for highly qualified individuals. Ms. Weivoda has only been away from Yolo County since 1/22/22 and is returning to fulfill a key role in the organization. Human Resources recommends approval to restore Ms. Weivoda’ s accrual rate at the time of separation, which was 4.62 hours per bi weekly pay period (120 hours per year) and a starting vacation balance in the amount of 96 hours to be used immediately by Ms. Weivoda. Ms. Weivoda has accepted the County’s job offer for the Chief of Office of Emergency Services position. Ms. Weivoda returns to the County with almost 10 years of experience with Yolo County in a variety of relevant areas, including disaster planning and response.
