Recommended Action
- Adopt resolution to approve a Pacific Gas & Electric Company utility easement at the Yolo County Airport, APN 040-220-023 , located at 24189 Aviation Avenue, Davis, California; and
- Authorize the Director of General Services, or designee, to take all necessary actions to execute, grant, and record an Easement Deed with the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a utility easement.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
California Government Code section 25526.6 requires the Board of Supervisors to grant or otherwise convey an easement, license, or permit for the use of any real property of the County to another government agency or utility. The conveyance must be in the public interest and that the interest in land conveyed will not substantially conflict or interfere with the use of the property by the County. A PG&E power line runs in a north-south direction along the eastern edge of the Yolo County Airport. PG&E proposes a 30-foot wide easement that will run for 72 feet easterly from the existing power line to new service on the adjacent property. The adjacent property, APN 040-220-065 owned by Duane Chamberlain, intends to use the new service to power an agricultural well. Staff reviewed this request and this easement will not conflict with existing or planned airport operations.
