Conduct Board Governance Session. The Board is expected to generally discuss and provide direction on matters of effective governance including but not limited to: SB 1439 (Levine Act) compliance; public outreach and engagement; Board subcommittees and appointments; and the Strategic Plan.
Recommended Action
Conduct Board Governance Discussion Session: The purpose of this session is to discuss matters of general Board governance, including related issues concerning effective leadership and good governance practices; and to review and provide input and direction on the following:
- SB 1439 (Levine Act) compliance and related policy/procedure development
- Board protocols, including public outreach and engagement, resolutions and certificates, the role of Board deputies, standing and ad hoc committees, and appointments to commissions
- Strategic Plan matters including, but not limited to, employee development and appreciation, land use and economic development concepts
- Roundtable on matters of general interest and concern
