Conduct Board Governance Session. The Board is expected to generally discuss and provide direction on matters of effective governance, including but not limited to: internal communication protocols, public outreach and engagement, roles and responsibilities of Board appointed committees and committee members; audit manager reporting structure and the Strategic Plan.
Recommended Action
Conduct Board Governance Discussion Session: The purpose of this session is to discuss matters of general Board governance, including but not limited to, related issues concerning effective leadership and good governance practices; and to review and provide input and direction on the following:
- Internal communication protocols.
- Board protocols, including public outreach and engagement, resolutions and certificates, the role of Board deputies, standing and ad hoc committees, and appointments to commissions.
- Roles and responsibilities of Board appointed committees and committee members
- Audit manager reporting structure
- Strategic Plan matters including, but not limited to, employee development and appreciation, land use and economic development concepts.
- Roundtable discussion on matters of general interest and concern.
