Accept the Yolo County Certified Results for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election and appoint members of the Democratic County Central Committee, the Green Party County Council, the Peace and Freedom Party County Central Committee, and the Republican County Central Committee in-lieu of conducting an election. Recommended Action
- Accept the certified results of the Yolo County March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election;
- Approve and file the attached Certificate of Facts, indicating the number of persons who filed a declaration of candidacy for member of the Democratic County Central Committee, Supervisorial Districts 2, 4 and 5, the Green Party County Council, the Peace and Freedom Party County Central Committee, and the Republican County Central Committee, Supervisorial Districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 did not exceed the number of offices to be filled at the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election; and
- Appoint the following nominees to the positions set forth below:

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
California Elections Code Section 15372 requires the county elections officials to prepare and submit certified election results to the County Governing Body (Board of Supervisors) within 30 days of the election. The Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters certified the results of the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election on Friday, March 22, 2024.
The certificate of election includes the results of the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election, pursuant to Board Minute Order No. 23-112 wherein this Board approved the consolidation of the elections in the jurisdictions of Sacramento County Board of Education, City of Woodland, Davis Joint Unified School District and Woodland Joint Unified School District with the Presidential Primary Election conducted on March 5, 2024.
This recommended action accepts the Yolo County March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election results and completes the procedure for appointments in-lieu of election due to the number of nominees not exceeding the number required to be elected for the members of the Democratic County Central Committee, the Green Party County Council, the Peace and Freedom Party County Central Committee, and the Republican County Central Committee for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election.
