Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The attached first amendment to the 2017 Intergovernmental Agreement revises Section 7(b) of the Agreement to provide the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation (Tribe) with certain rights in the event the County revises the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance (CLUO) to authorize new or expanded commercial cannabis activities in the Capay Valley. No such changes to the CLUO are expected in the foreseeable future. This change to Section 7(b) implements requirements of the previously-approved settlement agreement between the County and Tribe.
The proposed First Amendment is included as Attachment A to this staff report, and the 2017 IGA is included for ease of reference as Attachment B.
