Approve three-year agreement through June 30, 2027 with the Yolo County Sheriff's Safety Management Association. (General fund impact, $650,000) (Bryan/Tengolics)

Recommended Action

Approve three-year agreement through June 30, 2027 with the Yolo County Sheriff's Safety Management Association.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The County reached a tentative agreement with the Yolo County Sheriff's Safety Management Association and the resulting Memorandum of Understanding is included as Attachment A. This agreement provides:
  • 3% COLA effective July 1, 2024; 3% COLA effective July 1, 2025; 3% COLA effective July 1, 2026
  • Addition of MLK Holiday
  • Adjustment of educational/POST incentives and increase in the maximum combined value of education/POST incentives to 15%
  • 2.5% differential for CNT and SWAT team members (Sergeant only)
  • Adjustment to vacation accrual schedule to be the same as Management Association
