Approve fiscal year 2024-25 property tax bill insert regarding the right to farm in Yolo County.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

At the request of the Yolo County Farm Bureau, staff drafted the attached notice (Att. A) to property owners regarding the County's right to farm ordinance for inclusion as an insert in the FY24-25 property tax bills. This notice reminds property owners that from time-to-time agricultural operations may cause inconveniences or discomforts such as noise, odors, dust, etc. and that with limited exceptions, these inconveniences and discomforts are not nuisances. The cost to include the notice is estimated to be $3,250 the cost of which would be absorbed in the countywide budget.
