Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The Esparto Fire Protection District did not foresee the Strike Team participation costs or reimbursements when the original budget was set and approved. Expenses for the strike team participation have already been recorded, and the District will receive CAL FIRE and CAL OES reimbursements to cover these costs. This budget adjustment was approved by the Esparto Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners on October 10, 2024.
The Esparto Fire Protection District’s revised FY 2024-25 budget includes $256,930 in unanticipated expenses and reimbursements from the following EFPD strike team participation:
