Appoint Supervisor Allen to the Board of Directors of the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance.

The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance (YHAA) is a non-profit organization that promotes the welfare of older adults in the community, advocates for the aging community and caregivers, and educates the public about issues confronting older adults. Its Board of Directors includes a non-voting seat reserved for an appointee of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors. While the YHAA bylaws (attached) do not require the 4th District Supervisor to serve on the Board, if the seat is not held by the 4th District Supervisor, the 4th District Supervisor serves instead as a "liaison" between YHAA and the County per the bylaws.

In communications with the County Administrator's Office, Supervisor Sheila Allen has proposed to serve on the YHAA Board to replace recently retired Supervisor Jim Provenza. Supervisor Allen is very familiar with all aspects of YHAA's operations, finances, and community relations, having previously served as Executive Director of YHAA prior to joining Supervisor Provenza's office as a Deputy. This Office is presenting this item and the recommendation to appoint Supervisor Allen in coordination with the County Administrator and Supervisor Allen.
