In Support of All Goals (Internal Departments Only)

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

In July 2024, the Information Technology Services department initiated a search for qualified candidates through technology recruiting and solutions firms to support the enhancement, maintenance, technical support, and coordination of various critical systems across the County. To streamline the procurement process and ensure access to competitively sourced vendors, the County utilized existing information technology temporary and professional services contracts held by Placer County and The Regents of the University of California.

Several proposals were received and evaluated. Zeektek was selected based on a combination of competitive rates and demonstrated experience supporting complex IT environments similar to that of Yolo County.

The continuation of these services is essential to ensure that existing County systems remain adequately supported. Ongoing technical expertise is necessary to minimize the risk of service disruptions and maintain operational continuity for County departments.

At this time, approval from the Board of Supervisors is being requested as the total contract amount exceeds the Yolo County Procurement Manager’s signing authority. Funding for this engagement is included in the IT charges allocated for fiscal year 2025–26.
