Approve appointment of Kerrie Covert as the Yolo County Representative to the Yolo County Homeless and Poverty Action Coalition (HPAC) board.

The Yolo County Homeless and Poverty Action Coalition (HPAC) was formed to coordinate the Yolo County Continuum of Care (CoC). The board consists of an Executive Director, Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. All positions are represented by individuals from local community-based organizations. In addition, the Board requires a representative from the City of Davis, City of West Sacramento, City of Woodland, County of Yolo, and Yolo County Housing to each appoint a representative to serve as an ex officio Director. Marisa Green has served as the County of Yolo representative; however, her departure from the Health and Human Services Agency Adult & Aging Branch left a vacancy for that seat within the HPAC board.

Kerrie Covert is the best candidate for the position as she is currently the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing Manager in the Adult & Aging branch. Kerrie has supported the Homeless Continuum of Care for the last three years and has the institutional knowledge of the Yolo County Homeless System as well as current knowledge of changes occurring with CalAIM reform and the integration of housing and homeless into behavioral health services under Proposition 1-Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA). Kerrie is overseeing the Grants, Contracts, Outcome Measures—Homeless Services unit that is the Collaborative Applicant to the HPAC board. In addition, Kerrie oversees the Homeless Information System (HMIS) Lead in conjunction with Homeless Action Poverty Coalition (HPAC), Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention Grants 1-6, and Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) which funds services for our homeless and low-income populations, Community Services Action Board, and Yolo County Commission to Address Homelessness.
