The mission of the Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency is to promote a healthy, safe, and economically stable community. The duties performed include promoting the health, safety, and economic stability of Yolo County residents. HHSA also serves every member of the community, both in its service centers and through community initiatives, outreach, or contracts with community partners. HHSA focuses on serving individuals that are vulnerable, such as adults and children eligible for Medi-Cal, through the administration of more than 60 state and federally mandated and non-mandated programs.

The Request for Approval of Records Disposition Schedule has been prepared after careful examination of all policies with regard to operating, administrative, legal, fiscal, research, historical or archive value, as well as to application of appropriate county, state and federal rules, ordinances, regulations and/or statutes governing records retention. The approval of this records retention schedule will help the Health and Human Services Agency to carry out its mission by being in compliance with countywide standards and policies and conformance with accepted records management practices.
