Reason for Recommended Action/Background
For the past year Yolo County (County) has been responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout this past year all businesses, organizations, and levels of government have been greatly impacted and have been required to make major changes to their operations, general practices, and service delivery.
On March 2, 2021, the County will conduct a COVID-19 Community Summit, entitled "Moving Forward in 2021". The purpose of this summit is to provide an opportunity for community members, service providers, and businesses impacted by COVID-19 to share their experiences and highlight future issues.
Representation for this event is intended to cover four major areas: healthcare, business, local government and schools, and communities. Through facilitation by the Board Chair and County staff, this event will seek to provide ongoing dialogue around the response to COVID-19 and allow for ample discussion between panelists, the public, and the Board of Supervisors.
The agenda for this event is provided as Attachment A to this staff report.
