Approve sixth amendment to Agreement No. 7676-2016 with Indigo Architects for Animal Services extending the term for an additional 5 months for a revised period of May 20, 2016 through December 31, 2021.

County Mandated Service

On June 20, 2016, a contract with Indigo Architects for the term May 20, 2016 through September 30, 2016 was executed by the Assistant County Administrator to provide services related to future animal shelter options. Since that time, the contract has been extended for time five times and once for additional funding, ultimately being extended to December 31, 2020.

Per the County policy for contracts, Board approval is required after five amendments, therefore staff is requesting approval of this fifth amendment to this contract. This amendment would only include additional time and would not alter the scope or compensation for the services being provided. This extension of time will allow staff to continue working with Indigo Architects as work on the future of Animal Services continues into this Fall. Contract Amendment #6 may be found as Attachment A to this staff report and the original contract and amendments may be found as Attachment B.
