Reason for Recommended Action/Background
This agenda item will provide an annual update to the Board of Supervisors from the Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary of the Yolo County In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Advisory Committee. This committee is an advisory body that is appointed by the Board of Supervisors for the purpose of providing ongoing advice and recommendations regarding IHSS. The committee’s mission is to give consumers and providers a voice in IHSS and Public Authority policy, program development, and operations. This is done by advising, advocating, and making recommendations for the enhancement, availability, and quality of IHSS and ensuring services that support a positive and productive relationship between the consumers and providers.
