Approve and authorize the Chair to sign State Agreement No. 22-10211 with California Department of Public Health in the amount of $1,005,980 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 for the provision of the Local Oral Health Program. (No general fund impact) (Sullivan)
Recommended Action
- Approve and authorize the Chair to sign State Agreement No. 22-10211 with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in the amount of $1,005,980 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 for the provision of the Local Oral Health Program;
- Delegate authority to the Yolo County Procurement Manager, or designee, to execute any non-financial extensions or amendments of the Agreement, upon approval as to form by the County Counsel; and
- Authorize the Director of Health and Human Services Agency, or designee, to execute any fiscal and program reports required under this Agreement, including reports required under any extensions or amendments thereto.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is again providing Yolo County grant funds for the Local Oral Health Program. These funds allow Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to expand program activities related to oral health in our communities. These activities include education, oral health disease prevention, facilitating community-clinical linkages, establishing oral health policies, and surveillance.
The strategic goals for this program have been to: A) raise community awareness about oral health, B) increase screening and prevention services for children, C) facilitate local policies to promote oral health, and D) promote expanded dental access for low-income children/adults. Approval of this agreement will allow HHSA to continue to serve Yolo County residents in alignment with these goals.
Performance Measures included in this Agreement are as follows:
