Reason for Recommended Action/Background
County staff and partner agency staff will provide the Board with an update on drought impacts and proposed actions for drought response, including:
- An update on impacts to County residents and infrastructure from the on-going drought emergency (Yolo County Office of Emergency Services)
- An update on various funding streams available for drought response and infrastructure improvements (Yolo County Natural Resources Division)
- An update on current groundwater conditions and status of drought discussions by Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Yolo Groundwater Sustainability Agency/Water Resources Association of Yolo County)
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)
Staff have collaborated with various landowners and residents, internal divisions/departments, and external partners including: Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, Water Resources Association of Yolo County, Yolo County Flood Control & Water Conservation District, Northern California Water Association, State Department of Water Resources, State Water Resources Control Board, and Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry's office.
