  1. The County took an oppose position on SB 443 which would remove the fire agency’s EMS operations from the oversight of the Local Emergency Management Services Agency (LEMSA) and the County EMS Medical Director. This in turn would permit any fire agency to alter its own EMS operations without coordination with the county, which could result in vastly different levels of service between local jurisdictions.
