In December of 2020, staff from the Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency partnered with Yolo County First 5 and began working to develop a basic income pilot program for homeless/unsheltered families with children under the age of five. The Yolo County Board of Supervisors has provided direction to staff on a variety of program outcomes and specifications for the pilot. The Board has also committed $500,000 in Cannabis Tax Revenue Funding to support the pilot program.
