Strategic Plan Goal(s)

Thriving Residents

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The Yolo County Housing Authority has contracted with the County of Yolo for Interim Executive Director services since July 15, 2020. The previous agreement (Att. A) specifically named Sandra Sigrist as the County staff selected to provide interim director services. Ms. Sigrist is in the process of reducing her role while the commission completes a second recruitment to fill the Executive Director position on a permanent basis.

Yolo County Housing wishes to utilize the services of additional County staff during the interim period while this second recruitment is being conducted. Mindi Nunes has been identified to assist in the role of Interim Executive Director in addition to part-time administrative support by Ms. Sigrist.

Thus the first amendment (Att. B) amends the agreement to adjust to the provision of administrative services support and broaden the capacity of the County's support to provide these two individuals on a part-time basis during the permanent recruitment. The agreement would still require reimbursement of costs of personnel that are provided on an actual cost basis until the agreement is terminated. It is expected that the Yolo County Housing Authority will operate under this agreement for no less than three months while the second recruitment is conducted. On these grounds, staff recommend that the Board approve the first amendment to Agreement No. 21-163 (Yolo County Housing Agr. No. 21-05).
