Approve and authorize the Chair to sign State Agreement No. 22-11089 with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in the amount of $2,389,120.97 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 for the provision of preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases. Recommended Action
- Approve and authorize the Chair to sign State Agreement No. 22-11089 with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in the amount of $2,389,120.97 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 for the provision of preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases;
- Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the CA Civil Rights Laws form (Att. B.) and the Contractor Certification Clauses form (Att. C.);
- Authorize the Yolo County Procurement Manager, or designee, to execute any non-financial extensions or amendments of the Agreement upon approval as to form by County Counsel; and
- Authorize the Director of Health and Human Services Agency, or designee, to execute any fiscal and program forms and reports required under this Agreement, including forms and reports required under any extensions or amendments thereto.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The purpose of this agreement is to continue to support Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) activities, including the assessment and improvement of the coverage levels of all vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the detection, reporting and the control of vaccine-preventable diseases.
April 24, 2018 the Board approved HHSA to enter into an agreement with CDPH for these services for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022. Approval of this agreement will allow HHSA to continue activities relating to assessing and improving coverage levels in the jurisdiction of all vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices (ACIP) to protect the residents of Yolo County. Activities funded by this agreement include COVID vaccine and seasonal influenza vaccine clinics, Yolo County’s DoorVax service, redistributing COVID and influenza vaccines to healthcare partners, and assisting Yolo County schools to report required student immunization information to the California Department of Public Health.
