Subject

Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections, County Administrator's Office and Health and Human Services Agency; and adopt resolution providing for At-Will appointments to County positions. (No general fund impact) (Lara)

Recommended Action

  1. Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections, County Administrator's Office and Health and Human Services Agency; and
     
  2. Adopt resolution providing for At-Will appointments to County positions to add Chief of Office of Emergency Services.

Position(s): Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician

Explanation: Reallocates one vacant Assessor Clerk-Recorder Assistant II to Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician.

Explanation: Increases the salary range by 3.3% to provide a 10% differential between subordinate class.

Explanation: Establishes new at-will class and salary range. Reallocates one (1) at-will position from Emergency Services Manager to Chief of Office of Emergency Services.

Explanation: Reallocates one (1) regular vacant full-time position from Supervising Clinician to HHSA Program Coordinator

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

See Attachment A for changes to the Authorized Position and Salary Resolution.
 
Board approval of the attached Resolution providing for At Will Appointments to County Positions is required when changes are made to the list of class titles that are exempt from the requirement that all appointments to regular County positions be made from an eligible list, and who serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
