Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The Yolo County District Attorney's office has been receiving the Specialized Emergency Housing grant since FY2017-18.
Through this grant, we partnered with Empower Yolo and Shores of Hope to provide homeless/home insecure crime victims emergency shelter as well as intensive case management. These services reduce the chance of re-victimization and to help break the homelessness cycle by providing an opportunity to achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
