The Yolo County Grand Jury approved the attached conflict of interest code at its December 20, 2022 meeting. As the Board of Supervisors is aware, it is the "code reviewing body" under state law for the Grand Jury and many other local districts and agencies. The Board may approve the Grand Jury's conflict of interest code unless it finds that the submitted code: (a) fails to provide reasonable assurance that all foreseeable potential conflict of interest situations will be disclosed or prevented; (b) fails to provide to each affected person a clear and specific statement of their duties under the code; or (c) fails to adequately differentiate between designated individuals with different powers and responsibilities. This Office believes the submitted code meets all legal requirements, and it recommends Board approval.
