Approve amending the current COVID-19 Vaccination policy ratified at the October 12, 2021 Board of Supervisors meeting, making vaccination a highly recommended procedure instead of mandatory for current employees, volunteers and job applicants. (No general fund impact) (Lara) (Est. Time: 5 minutes)

Recommended Action

Approve the amendment of the COVID-19 Vaccination policy currently in effect in Yolo County, for employees, volunteers and job applicants.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

As State mandates regarding COVID-19 vaccination have ended, the State and local COVID-19 emergencies have ended and COVID-19 cases in the Yolo County workforce have decreased, staff recommends the policy be amended to make vaccination a highly recommended step for employees, volunteers and job applicants versus the current mandatory policy.
