Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The minor revisions set forth in Attachment A reflect Board direction provided at the January 31 and April 11, 2023 governance sessions. The revisions address the following topics:
- Board Assignment Process (adding text to avoid having two representatives for a single city on a major assignment);
- Use of Board Subcommittees (describing the role of budget ad hoc subcommittee members); and
- Advocacy (expanding on the process for considering funding opportunities that arise outside of the typical process).
Staff recommend approval of the edits show in Attachment A.
Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)
This Office collaborated with the County Administrator in developing and recommending the edits included in Attachment A following Board direction at the January 31 governance session. The edits were updated after direction at the April 11, 2023 governance session.
