Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The General Services Department is embarking on improvements to the Board Chambers. The Board Chambers has received little physical improvements in recent years. General Services has engaged with contractors to make various security improvements to the Board dais.
The work involved will improve the security of the chambers and will begin during the Board's break in August. The work is expected to take two to three weeks, and will displace any other user of the Board chambers during this time. General Services will coordinate with the County Administrator's Office and the Board Clerks to minimize any disruption.
